Do I need a real estate agent?
Whether you’re buying or selling a home, this question has probably crossed your mind. I’ll be the first to tell you… It’s a VALID question!
With sites like Zillow.com and Realtor.com, you can do some pretty good research on your own.
With sites like Offerpad.com and Opendoor.com, you avoid uncomfortable negotiations.
With tools like google.com, you can find checklists, forms, how-tos and so many other things
With that list, it makes sense that you can do it all yourself. But let me give you our opinion.
We think the answer is “Yes….IF”
Why “IF”, you ask? That is because you need an agent that is looking out for you and not a commission. Obviously, an agent wants to make ends meet, but it can’t be their only goal. Without the an agent that cares, you can miss out or overlook opportunities that equals to $$$ for you. Without an agent that gets just as excited as you and can be trusted, you run the risk of missing out the real value of your home.
With us, you can trust we will be direct and real. We’ve sold homes that we expected AND received above asking price, but we’ve also had to list homes for less than the seller wanted. The point is that we were honest with our assessment of the home. We listen to the market and before listing, help you understand what to expect. That is the time to decide if selling is the best option for you. Now, the good news is we tend to beat expectations quite a bit. So, even when we had to list lower, we were still received offers that pleased the seller.
You also, need to a real estate agent that can influence. Getting your offer accepted is always about offering the highest amount of money. It’s about influence and emotional intelligence. An agent needs to find out what the seller wants, then use that to influence them to pick our buyer’s offer. We’ve won time and again without being the highest offer. We put our passion and your passion into the conversation to help sell your offer.
Here with the Ryan Real Estate Team, you can expect passion, commitment, and truth in all things real estate.
